I am delighted to provide a glowing recommendation for Donna Rusaw and her team at Black Dress Catering. I first became affiliated with Donna through my membership with the Rotary Club of Colborne. Donna initially worked for the Municipality providing catering services for the Rotary Hall. Most recently, with the Municipality’s decision to move away from in-house catering, Donna formed her own business and has fostered a tremendous relationship with her clients.
On July 23rd, 2009 Black Dress Catering was engaged by White Collar Investigative Group to provide dinner services for our Annual General Meeting. Those in attendance all have distinguished reputations and would be considered senior executives. The service provided went above and beyond expectations with all of the guests raving about the meal and the jovial attitude of Black Dress Catering.
Donna always has a positive attitude and greets everyone with a smile regardless of the number of clients she is catering to. She is extremely flexible in striving to meet, and surpass the expectations of her clients.

I wanted to send you a special thank you for the wonderful service and quality you provided at my wedding. Planning a wedding is a lot of work and stress but you made everything to do with the dinner a breeze! Having our wedding on Thanksgiving weekend 2008 meant we had to have the traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings… which is quite a challenge with approx 200 guests.
There was plenty of food, lots of variety, and nobody went away hungry. Your staff was kind, courteous and professional throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious – even after the wedding I had many guests comment on the quality of the food and how much they enjoyed it – they were very curious as to who our caterer was.
I would gladly recommend your service to anyone looking for a caterer for any small or large events; I know we will be using it again!

The meal was incredible... Superb taste, excellent selection and generous quantity.
Almost all of our 200+ guests commented on the wonderful meal.

Donna Rusaw and her firm, Black Dress Catering, provided a hot luncheon buffet for our gathering of 627 Probus members in May 2009. For a crowd of that size, one always worries if the food will be good, hot enough, served on time and be plentiful enough. Donna met our requirements totally. We received many compliments on the meal and “seconds” were available . Her contribution was greatly appreciated by all in attendance.

The members of the Rotary Club of Colborne are happy to provide a letter of reference for Black Dress Catering.
Our association with Donna has been an enduring one, for the past four years. Donna has served us Rotarians, providing meals at our weekly meetings and at the same time, doing everything she could to assist our Rotary Club in its ideas and planning.
Initially Donna was an employee of Cramahe Township. In this capacity, Donna assisted us with our first Harvest Auction at the Keeler Centre in 2004. This was a major event of size and preparation which Donna had not attempted to cater before. Aware that 400 guests were expected, Donna worked with us to ensure that everything came together not only in an acceptable manner, but ultimately in a sensational manner.
From this historical night on, all our members are convinced that Donna could take on anything with the same enthusiasm and determination to make any event a success.

On July 12, 2009 Donna Rusaw and crew from Black Dress Catering, catered my 60th birthday open house. They did all the catering for 100 people - they decorated, they greeted. It was wonderful. The food was plentiful, delicious, well presented and there was a good variety - from fancy sandwiches, to a chocolate fountain, punch, etc.
The party was outside so they kept making the sandwiches fresh so they wouldn't dry out. I was very, very happy with their service. I found all four people who worked the party happy, pleasant and a joy to be around.
